2022 City Men’s Golf Championship – August 19-21

Dates: August 19th, 20th, and 21st

Where: Ladera, Arroyo Del Oso, and Los Altos Golf Courses

Eligibility: All players must live or work in the greater Albuquerque area, and have an active GHIN#

Entry Fee: $195 per player or $130 for 7 day City of Albuquerque Regular Annual Pass Members. Entry includes Green Fees, Range Balls, and Lunch. (CARTS NOT INCLUDED).

Players also have the option to declare themselves into a lower flight with the tournament director’s approval.

In each flight the field will be cut to the low 50% and ties after the first 36 holes.

Maximum handicap index for the net flights will be an 18.0. If your handicap index is more than that it will be lowered to an 18.0. The tournament director reserves the right to adjust a players handicap on any or all rounds based on a formula that will apply to all Net Flights.

The first 120 applications received will be guaranteed an entry into the tournament

Championship Flight: Handicap index of 1.9 and lower. Will compete gross score only and play from the blue tees.

Presidents Flight: Handicap index of 2.0 to 6.0. Will compete gross score only and play from the blue tees

Senior Championship Flight: Age 50 and older and will compete with gross score only and play from the white tees.

Net Flights: Will compete with adjusted net score based on handicap and play from the white tees

Last year marked the 80th Annual Albuquerque Men’s City Golf Championship. Every year we are blessed to have many of the best players in the state compete in this championship including UNM and NMSU collegiate players, as well as alumni and the best high school talent the city has to offer. This tournament has a great history of champions that have gone on to play and win on the PGA Tour, Web.com Tour, and Japan Tour. These champions include the likes of Tommy Armour III, Notah Begay, DJ Brigman, Christian Pena, Jay Choi,and Steve Saunders.
